No integrated circuit at all inside the Spettro. Instead, one finds inside the Spettro a pair of parallel amplifiers per channel (Dual Drive System), with the main motivation of halving the output impedance. Yes, the Mastersound Spettro preamplifier practically has four preamplifiers inside. This gives the Spettro greater control of the signal while driving power amplifiers.
In this design, the Spettro is able to come out with an audio signal of truly astonishing speed and dynamics. The power amplifiers driven by this preamp can really express their sonic possibilities. Between the phono stage and the linestage, there are 7 double triodes and all components are highly selected. The power transformer is also designed and manufactured by Mastersound.
Mastersound amplifiers have always had the characteristic of speed and dynamics. Combined with the Spettro preamplifier, the Mastersound power amplifiers like the 300B Monoblock, Monoblock 845 and the top model PF100 are much further enhanced in their musical and sonic characteristics.
The Spettro, of course, can be combined with any kind of power amplifier. As always, thanks to its main characteristic of low output impedance, various combinations are possible.
The Spettro is not only a preamp, but a new concept in preamp technology. A completely new design that revolutionizes what has been done so far. Spettro has been designed to get the peak level when combined with the valve power amplifier.
